LONDON BUSINESS NETWORK DISPUTES AND SAFEGUARDING POLICY AND PROCEDURE

01. Safeguarding

Scope of Reference

Safeguarding serves as the first point of contact for concerns, complaints, information submissions, requests for resolution support, and other matters relevant to the integrity, trust, reputation, and wellbeing of the London Business Network (LBN) community.

Safeguarding exists to provide a structured, fair, and proportionate process through which concerns may be raised, reviewed, and where appropriate resolved.

Community Safeguarding

LBN has a legitimate interest in safeguarding the integrity, trust, reputation, and wellbeing of its member firms, attendees, sponsors, clients, suppliers, and other participants connected to the network.

Where concerns are raised regarding conduct, behaviour, professional relationships, commercial dealings, or other matters that may affect the LBN community, LBN may review relevant information and take such action as is reasonably necessary within the limits of its authority.

Scope of Authority

LBN shall review information relevant to a safeguarding matter for the purposes of administering its own community standards, participation policies, and partnership arrangements.

LBN shall work to facilitate a fair, proportionate and mutually acceptable resolution wherever possible.

Following completion of the Safeguarding process, LBN may determine that one or more of the following actions are appropriate:

☐ Formal Warning ☐ Suspension ☐ Removal of Partner Status ☐ Removal from Events

☐ Exclusion from Future Participation ☐ Referral to Regulatory or Legal Authorities

Any action taken shall be proportionate to the circumstances of the matter and the information available to LBN.

Limitations of Authority

LBN does not have the legal authority to determine legal rights, contractual obligations, debt liability, financial entitlement, or any other matter reserved to the courts, regulators, or other competent authorities.

Participation in Safeguarding does not prevent any party from seeking independent legal, financial, regulatory, or professional advice.

Safeguarding Principles

The Safeguarding process is governed by the following principles:

☐ Declaration of Interests ☐ Procedural Fairness ☐ Evidence-Led Review ☐ Right of Reply ☐ Confidentiality ☐ No Right to Anonymity ☐ Document Retention ☐ Proportionality ☐ Impartiality ☐ Privacy & Reputation Protection ☐ Good Faith Participation ☐ Right to Make Amends
